Comments:
"Double-whammy of exotic fruits and honeyed vanilla points to the unmistakable influence of very old bourbon casks. A malt that reeks of great age from every pore.
Fabulous interaction between the oak and barley but the great age is driven home by the spicier, drier riches that cling to the understated oiliness so typical of Tomintoul.
Long and at times improbably lush with the malts having a distinct say before settling below the sea of gentle smoke and oak. Late drying vanilla and cocoa charms and redresses the vaguely fruity sub-plot.
Truly great whisky....Supreme stuff!"
