The latest from the Tomintoul team

We are tremendously pleased to have been awarded a Master at the Asian Spirit Masters 2016 for the Tomintoul 40 Year Old Quadruple Cask. A Master is only awarded to outstanding quality spirits within the drinks industry and our Tomintoul 40 Year Old was recognised for its ‘well-rounded’ notes against strong competitors. The whisky was described for having a balance of ‘tobacco, honey, and some vanilla’ notes by the judges.

We would like to thank the Judges and the Spirits Business magazine for this award and we look forward to producing and maintaing exceptional whisky!

  • Introducing Our 15 Portwood Finish

We are pleased to announce the release of our new limited edition Tomintoul 15 Years Old Portwood Finish. The new expression has only 5820 bottles available with each bottle individually numbered. The malt whisky was transferred from Bourbon casks into hand-picked Port pipes to “finish” its maturation for a generous period of time in order to further enrich and refine the whisky’s characteristics; most notably, the tones of fruity Port sweetness. Tomintoul Master Distiller, Robert Fleming deemed that the time was right to bottle the whisky at 15 years of age when the malt whisky flavours had reached harmonious notes with the sweet attributes of the Port wood.

The new release is supplied in cases of 6 x 70cl bottles in individual cylindrical cartons and it will be available in key European and selected world markets.
