Awards and Reviews
In 2007, the original bottling of Tomintoul 1976 Vintage captured the whisky at 31 years old. The latest bottling (2013) from the same vintage reveals a deliciously maturer malt of infinitely richer character, a full 5 years older at 36 years of age when bottled. The consumer now has the opportunity to enjoy this rarest of whiskies from an exceptional vintage of Tomintoul Distillery.

Comments: "Double-whammy of exotic fruits and honeyed vanilla points to the unmistakable influence of very old bourbon casks. A malt that reeks of great age from every pore. Fabulous interaction between the oak and barley but the great age is driven home by the spicier, drier riches that cling to the understated oiliness so typical of Tomintoul. Long and at times improbably lush with the malts having a distinct say before settling below the sea of gentle smoke and oak. Late drying vanilla and cocoa charms and redresses the vaguely fruity sub-plot. Truly great whisky….Supreme stuff!"
Hints of rum soaked raisins with a touch of fruity maltiness.
Round and soft with as some sweetness and fruit. Pleasantly complex yet delicate.
mature, long and elegant.
